FP1200 - Multi-Zone Fence Intrusion Detection System

Description

The FiberPatrol® FP1200 series of fence intrusion detection systems revolutionizes conventional perimeter monitoring based on fixed detection zones. Unlike other multi-zone sensors, fiberoptic or otherwise, the FP1200 system requires absolutely no powered field infrastructure. The junction points between individual detection zones contain only passive termination components. The sensing cable is mounted directly on an existing fence, requires no electrical grounding, and is unaffected by lightning or EMI-producing equipment.

The FP1200 supports detection zones of any pre-defined length, for up to 60 miles of combined sensor span. The same fiberoptic cable brings the signals back for processing at a centrally located system head end.The sensor cable can also incorporate optional fibers for video and data transmission, accessible at any zone termination point or through dedicated fiber drops.

The FP1200 system detects and reports intrusion attempts anywhere along the perimeter fence with superior sensitivity and reliability, and identifies the zone in which the breach is occurring. This information is graphically displayed and effectively communicated for prompt incident response. Complimentary technologies such as CCTV and access control can be integrated for a complete perimeter security solution.

The FiberPatrol® FP1200 system is intended for perimeter monitoring of high-value sites utilizing chain-link and other flexible fencing. It is designed as an alternative to the FP1100 location-resolving system for applications where zone-based detection is preferred. The product's highly versatile multi-zone sensor can be deployed in a loop, dead-end, or branching configuration to fit any perimeter layout. Insensitive fiber-optic cable can be inserted between detection zones for monitoring of multiple remote locations.
