The FiberPatrol line of digital fiber optic video multiplexers provides extremely high quality and consistent video. Unlike frequency modulated (FM) video multiplexers, digital systems do not suffer from degrading signal over the optical attenuation range. Digital systems are appropriate for both single mode and multimode optical fiber transmission. These products provide a signal-to-noise ratio of >60 dB which meets or exceeds RS-250C medium haul transmission requirements. FiberPatrol video multiplexers feature 8 and optional 10 bits/sample digital circuitry and several mounting alternatives. The multiplexer is very space efficient - a 4 channel unit uses only one slot in the RMC chassis, or 2 slots for an 8 channel unit. Units having 12 or more channels include the RMC chassis in their base price. Configurations are available to add data and audio channels. Units meet FCC Part 15, Class B requirements for radiated emissions and feature automatically resettable polymer fuses on all power rails. As with all FiberPatrol products, no optical or electrical adjustments are required.

The FiberPatrol line of digital fiber optic video products provides the highest quality and consistency of video to be found anywhere. Unlike frequency modulated (FM) video, digital systems do not suffer from degrading signals over the optical attenuation range. Digital systems are appropriate for both single mode and multimode optical fiber transmission. Units provide a signal-to-noise ratio of >67 dB which meets or exceeds RS-250C short haul transmission requirements. FiberPatrol units feature up to 10 bits/sample digital circuitry, and single or dual fiber options. Products can be mounted in a stand alone enclosure or in the RMC Communications Chassis.
Configurations are available with several different data, audio, and contact closure options, as well as with Up-the-Coax data. The unique digital design employed in this product line eliminates the traditional distance limitations in Up-the-Coax transmission systems offered by manufacturers including Bosch, Pelco, and Panasonic. Units meet FCC Part 15, Class B requirements for radiated emissions and feature automatically resettable polymer fuses on all power rails. As with all FiberPatrol units, no optical

Amplitude modulation (AM) is a time proven, highly reliable means of transmitting CCTV video and associated data signals through optical fiber. This technique is only applicable for multimode fiber applications, but provides the advantage of simplicity and reduced cost when compared to other techniques. Units provide a signal-to-noise ratio of >55 dB (@10 dB optical loss) which is suitable for many applications, particularly where camera performance is the limiting factor in a system. FiberPatrol units meet or exceed RS-250C long haul transmission requirements and feature highly reliable automatic gain control (AGC) circuitry and single or dual fiber options. Products can be mounted in a stand alone enclosure or in the RMC Communications Chassis. Units meet FCC Part 15, Class B requirements for radiated emissions and feature automatically resettable polymer fuses on all power rails. As with all FiberPatrol units, no optical or electrical adjustments are required.

RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 are commonly used data formats for both point-to-point and low speed non-IP networks. FiberPatrol offers a comprehensive set of products covering these protocols, including drop-and-repeat, self-healing ring, and multiplexer products. RS-232/RS-422 units provide secondary control lines, anti-streaming, and optional battery back-up features. RS-485 products are offered in both 2-wire and 4-wire configurations. Units meet FCC Part 15, Class B requirements for radiated emissions and feature automatically resettable polymer fuses on all power rails. As with all FiberPatrol units, no optical or electrical adjustments are required. Products can be mounted in a stand alone enclosure or in the RMC Communications Chassis.

The FiberPatrol contact multiplexers represent a new and flexible means of aggregating multiple contact inputs and outputs into a unified stream. The product line provides various options for bi-directional transmission of contact closures with 4 to 28 contact signals available through a single unit. Units are designed to meet FCC Part 15, Class B requirements for radiated emissions and feature automatically resettable polymer fuses on all power rails. As with all FiberPatrol units, no optical or electrical adjustments are required. Products can be mounted in a stand alone enclosure or in the RMC Communications Chassis.
In applications where the expanded feature set and cost of a fully managed Ethernet switch are not required, FiberPatrol offers an alternative for implementing an ethernet network over fiber. These Layer 2 switches are ideal for applications where robustness, ease of use, and mounting flexibility are the main considerations. Products can be mounted in a stand alone enclosure or in the RMC Communications Chassis.
The FDX4100 Series is a hardened ethernet media converter, providing conversion from twisted pair copper to optical fiber. Units support standard 802.3 operation for 10/100 Base-T and 100 Base-FX and enables auto-MDI/MDI-X. Operating in the enhanced mode, this product provides a back-off algorithm (binary exponential to aggressive), enables half-duplex back-pressure and disables excessive collision drop, and supports jumbo frames for streaming media.
Contact closures are provided for loss of fiber on each fiber port. Units meet FCC Part 15, Class B requirements for radiated emissions and feature automatically resettable polymer fuses on all power rails. As with all FiberPatrol products, no optical or electrical adjustments are required.

The FiberPatrol RMC Series Communications Management Chassis represents a revolutionary approach to providing space-efficient communications functionality, while minimizing the long term risk of obsolescence.
The UL approved RMC and power supply deliver a solid 80 watts of power, having been specifically designed for high MTBF operation in difficult environments. The RMC provides for up to 16 slots, accommodating any FiberPatrol plug-in module. The unit features a robust design, mountable in a 3RU space with several possible configurations of mounting brackets, an easily accessible ground lug, and rear panel power switch. Power supply options consist of a standard 2 slot supply or an external power supply allowing two slots to be used for additional plug-in modules.
The RMC power supply system provides several level of protection. Unique current sensing circuitry constantly monitors the current usage from the power supply and interrupts power in an over-current situation. Fuses and temperature dependent limiters are eliminated. Further, automatic electronic current limiting is provided in each plug-in module, providing shutdown of that individual module in the event that it has a problem. Automatic current limiting is self resetting, should the fault be of a temporary or intermittent nature.
Unlike competitive units that provide voltage only to the attached modules or which have a dedicated communications function, the RMC series has been designed from the outset with a variety of configurations in mind. The backplane circuit board, which interconnects all of the plug-in modules with the power supply, is field replaceable and upgradeable.
